1. GENERAL
This specification provides definitions used throughout
all Project Specifications listed within this document and the precedence
between documents should there be a conflict.
This specification also includes a list of all COMPANY SPECIFICATIONS
and all the associated codes and standards referenced.
2. DEFINITIONS
The following definitions apply to all Project
Specifications:
APPROVAL:
|
Means approved in writing by the COMPANY. Approval shall not relieve the CONTRACTOR
of his obligations, liability and responsibilities.
|
AUTHORITIES:
|
National, provincial, state or local governmental
agencies, and their employees, engineers, inspectors and other
representatives having jurisdiction at the SITE or at any other location
where COMPANY conducts their business.
|
COMPANY:
|
Conoco Indonesia Inc. Ltd., including co-venturers,
employees, engineers, inspectors, and other designated representatives.
|
CONTRACT:
|
Legal documents governing goods and services provided by
CONTRACTOR.
|
CONTRACTOR:
|
Supplier of materials, services and equipment required to
manufacture, install, test and commission the FACILITIES, in accordance with
the CONTRACT and SPECIFICATIONS.
|
FACILITIES:
|
Permanent items including pipelines, structures and
associated ancillary equipment that are constructed, fabricated, installed,
tested and commissioned at SITE, as a result of WORK performed in accordance
with terms and conditions of the CONTRACT and SPECIFICATIONS.
|
MAY
|
One possible course of action.
|
PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
|
Technical documents provided by COMPANY governing products
and services to be provided by CONTRACTOR
|
SHALL
|
Mandatory requirement.
|
SITE
|
Location(s) where FACILITIES are fabricated, installed,
tested and commissioned, as a result of WORK performed under terms and
conditions of the CONTRACT and SPECIFICATIONS.
|
WORK
|
Equipment, installation aids, labor, materials and
services performed and provided by CONTRACTOR to construct, fabricate,
install, test and commission the FACILITIES under terms and conditions of the
CONTRACT and SPECIFICATIONS.
|
3. COMPANY SUPPLIED MATERIALS AND SERVICES
COMPANY shall furnish CONTRACTOR with only those
materials listed in the CONTRACT Documents, which are stated as being COMPANY
supplied. No other materials or services
shall be construed as being supplied by COMPANY.
Unless stated otherwise in the CONTRACT, any COMPANY
supplied materials shall be delivered to CONTRACTOR at a COMPANY designated
storage yard, for inclusion in the FACILITIES.
4. OTHER MATERIALS AND SERVICES
CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials or services,
supervision and labor, including consumables and materials used as fabrication
aids, which are not stated in the CONTRACT Documents as being provided by
COMPANY. Material supplied under these
SPECIFICATIONS shall be new, in first class condition, and suitable for the
intended purpose.
Equipment used for construction of the FACILITIES,
including use as an installation aid, shall be of proven design and in good
operating condition. Methods employed by
CONTRACTOR shall be in accordance with prudent engineering, fabrication,
manufacturing and industry standard onshore and offshore construction practices
as appropriate.
5. DOCUMENT INTERPRETATION AND PRECEDENCE
Company and Contractor recognize that the potential
exists for conflicts arising from the interpretation of the requirements of
Applicable Codes and Standards regulatory agencies, safety regulations, Company
Supplied Data and other data supplied to Contractor under this contract. In the
event of any such conflict, Contractor shall apply the requirements of the
documents according to the order in which they govern the work as provided
below. In addition, Contractor shall notify Company in writing of any such
conflicts immediately upon discovery.

document on this list, including any duly authorized Change therunto, and any
other document below it on the list, including any duly authorized change

conflicts not so resolved shall be resolved by Company
